Who am I?

Ciao! Thanks for dropping by. Why choose Michael as your Sicilian tour guide?
I am a Philadelphia native living in Sicily since 2002. Loving history and having various university degrees in Classical studies, I can explain to you the rich history of Sicily and its monuments.
Being also an Italian-American, I can also authentically explain the cultural differences, stereotypes and inuendoes between an urban US setting and mostly rural Sicily.
A true vacation is not only seeing ancient monuments and medieval churches. It is eating genuine local food and understanding the soul of the area.
I hope to hear from you soon!
A dopo!
Michael

Where to visit?

Sicily, due to its unique position in the Mediterranean, has been conquered by many peoples. An authentic jigsaw puzzle of cultures and histories, each civilization has left its traces which can still be seen today, even in the same building.

Sicily is not only ancient temples and Baroque churches, but is an unparalleled mixture of nature and human creations, rural towns and bustling cities, ancient traditions and modernity, the sacred and the profane.

Centuries and millennia of art, history and culture one vacation away….

Siracusa was the biggest and grandest of all the Western Greek cities and is a living history book of almost 3000 years.

Noto, Palazzolo Acreide, Ragusa, Modica and Scicli are Baroque cities that become an UNESCO World Heritage site in 2002.

Catania is another prefect blend of ancient and modern with elements of majestic Mt. Etna in between.

Taormina overlooks the Ionian Sea and its history is as beautiful as its landscapes, narrow side streets and buildings
